Divinity Permanent Cosmetics Training Academy is a recognised training provider and has achieved centre approval from the examining body VTCT.
There are a number of training options available starting from £5995.
At the moment our industry is not legislated which means that there is no governing body which dictates the level of training technicians receive however, due to the large amount of litigation cases that are now being brought about following clients receiving poor levels of treatment, this has been rumoured to change within the next year. This law is already in place in certain boroughs of London and it states that technicians must be trained to Level 4 standard before they can obtain insurance to practice.
The majority of companies in the UK who teach Micropigmentation still only offer insurance approved diplomas and the level of training you receive can vary massively between individual training providers.
It is well known within the industry that the insurance approved training could well be obsolete should this new legislation become law.
Therefore, it is wise to bear in mind that if you do train to the insurance approved level (which is perfectly legal at the moment), you may need to do a conversion course and re train to level 4 should the law change and this requirement comes into play.
So, with this in mind, here are the training options and the prices that are available at Divinity Permanent Cosmetics.
ABT INSURANCE APPROVED DIPLOMA
VTCT LEVEL 4 QUALIFICATION IN MICROPIGMENTATION
The insurance approved diploma can be broken down into separate treatments so, you could choose just to train in brows, for example, or, all 3 areas- brows lips and eyeliner.
The cost of the insurance approved diplomas starts at £5995 for one area and each additional area is £1000.
The initial price of £5995 includes all the equipment, pigments and needles you need to complete 10 treatments, your machine, insurance, 2 days theory and 2 days practical per area working on models in a one-one training session.
You would complete your initial training and then develop your skills by completing 5 case studies.
On completion of your case studies you will then come back to the training centre to complete your final assessment. This is all included in the initial price.
VTCT are a government based awarding organisation- a bit like City And Guilds, IHBC and NVQs. Divinity Permanent Cosmetics is a government approved training centre which means we are able to offer the Level 4 qualification.
The level 4 qualification is the equivalent to a degree and there is no higher qualification in the UK available. It is recognised worldwide and is the best the industry has.
Please note that to be eligible for this training, learners must hold a level 3 or equivalent qualification in Anatomy and Physiology as the level of training for the level 4 is very in depth.
If you do not hold this then we approved to deliver the VTCT level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification. The cost of this course is £500 and involves one day of classroom based theory, a home study module and a final exam which takes place under exam conditions at the academy. This is all offered with full support.
LEVEL 4 COURSE DETAILS
The cost of the VTCT level 4 micropigmentation training is £9995. This includes the machine, equipment and enough pigments, needles and sundries to complete 15 treatments.
We are proud to say that our way of training is something that you won't find with the larger companies as all practical days (and most theory days) are carried out on a one-to-one basis. We also offer 8am-8pm telephone support where your call will always be answered. When you first start this is so important as it's a scary world out there and to feel like you've been left on your own is very daunting.
The VTCT qualification involves much more intense training than the insurance approved ones and isn't limited to the amount of days offered- each learner is different and what might take one learner 3 days might take another 9 days.
The training is ongoing even after the qualification is achieved and includes one more advanced day per area after you qualify to learn more advanced techniques and hone your skills.
We also offer unlimited shadowing days where you can watch our head trainer work.
We are a small company so can offer learners evenings and weekends or even split their training days to suit each individuals needs and personal circumstances, again this is something that is not offered by other training providers.
